What is EFT?

EFT is an entrance to the new healing high-rise. It is where a growing number of newcomers to this exciting field get their start. We now have thousands of practitioners using EFT throughout the world.

We are still learning why EFT (and its many cousins) work so well. The existing theory is that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system." In simplest terms, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods. Even a cursory review of the case histories on www.emofree.com will reveal that.

Further, EFT often provides relief for a very wide range of physical symptoms. This, too, is abundantly clear in our case histories, which provide unmistakable evidence of the link between our physical ailments and our emotional issues.

Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

Here is a partial list of reasons why people have used EFT:

• Abuse • Addictions • Allergies • Anger • Anorexia • Anxiety • Assault
• Asthma • Attention Deficit Disorder • Bulimia • Bedwetting
• Behavioural problems • Children's issues • Claustrophobia
• Confidence • Depression • Distress • Divorce • Dyslexia
• Fear of dentists • Fear of flying • Fear of public speaking • Fears
• Golf performance • Grief • Headaches • Health • Injuries
• Learning disabilities • Loneliness • Miscarriage • Molestation
• Nightmares • Overweight • Pain management • Performance anxiety • Phobias • Poor grades • PTSD • Rape • Resistance • Self-esteem
• Self-image • Separation anxiety • Smoking • Snoring
• Sports Injuries • Sports performance • Stress • Trauma • Weight

One of the appeals that medication has to people is that presumably they don't have to do anything different in their lives except take the prescribed drugs. That way the responsibility for the improvement in their health belongs to the doctors and the drug companies rather than to themselves. If they don't improve, they can ask for a different medicine. If they get better, they can continue the behaviours that caused the problem without too much downside.

If I have learned one thing it would be that the abdication of responsibility, while helpful to the blaming process, actually slows down progress and improvement. "If you are not responsible for it, you usually can't improve it." By way of EFT and other such techniques a person can assume more control and responsibility for their own health and the other conditions they experience in their lives.

Many people find this slight but important shift in perspective to be very empowering. All of a sudden they feel as though they may be able to change aspects of their life that were problems.

NOTIFICATION AND WAIVER

While we believe that EFT works well with many symptoms, it is still theoretical in nature and there is no universally accepted scientific explanation for its efficacy or lack thereof.

We do not offer any medical or psychological care or advice other than to advise all clients that they are always ultimately responsible for their own health care and if they want medical, psychological or psychiatric care or advice, they should see a medical or mental health care professional.

We also always advise every client to obtain a waiver or referral from their primary care doctor or other medical professional or their mental health care professional before utilizing EFT. Certainly each client should not discontinue or modify any medication presently being taken pursuant to medical advice without obtaining medical approval. In the event that a client fails to obtain a medical referral prior to treatment, they assume all risk and responsibility for any adverse outcome that might result from using EFT or Hypnosis.

"I had a real problem, you just can't appreciate how bad it was. Now I'm going to be the same as everyone else. I don't like cats but that wasn't the point. I'm now able to walk down the street without them freaking me out."

"He'd never had solid food in his whole life, it'll be a long time before he's eating a three course meal but he's on his way. It's a major, major life change for him and his family."
"If I see one I just think 'There's a wasp' and that's it. My husband can't believe it. I'm even looking forward to hanging out a load of washing."
